In this short video, Lic. Massage Therapist-Derek MacMahon explains how he approaches low back pain.
1. Assess "tight" or painful areas through visual and tactile assessment.
2. Restore muscular function by "un-glue-ing" underlying restrictions and "re-setting" the nerve/muscle signal to reduce muscle spasms.
3. Complete the treatment by addressing the muscles that aid the low back. These include the gluteals, hamstrings, quads, & psoas.
